Every Clothed Kit she receives is everything one woman needs to manage her period with confidence — and the affirmation that she is known, equipped, and worthy.
4 pairs reusable period underwear, mesh laundry bag, water-resistant carry pouch, drawstring kit bag.
The brand sources and sells. The Foundation, a US 501(c)(3), receives the donated pairs, accepts public gifts to scale the program, and distributes through vetted partner organizations in South Africa.
A pair purchased = a pair donated. A gift to the Foundation funds the rest of the kit.
OEKO-TEX certified, PFAS-tested. Independent US lab verification on every run.
Consolidated US-to-SA shipments via experienced freight forwarders with Africa expertise.
Trusted local partners hand-deliver kits paired with menstrual health education in her language.
Every woman equipped and empowered for everyday life.
We start in South Africa. By Year 5, we reach across the Southern African Customs Union — 30,000 women a year.
Every kit reaches a real young woman with a name, a classroom, and a future. Here's a glimpse of the lives the brand is built around.
"She is clothed in strength."
"She is clothed in dignity."
"She is laughing without fear."
"She is seen, named, and worthy."
Hi, we're Wes and Candace.
We're a South African family living in West Palm Beach, Florida. We have three girls. Isla and Imogen were both born in South Africa, and Ivy was born here in the USA. They keep our home loud and full.
We serve on staff at Journey Church, and we love it. Honestly. Pouring into our community here in America is what we wake up to every day. It's our calling. It's what we believe with our whole lives. Building the local church matters, and we wouldn't trade it for anything.
But Africa has never let us go. Wes grew up there. Candace was raised there too. She's an American missionary kid who knew Africa as home before she knew anywhere else. The need we both saw as kids hasn't faded. If anything it's gotten louder the longer we've been gone.
Having three daughters of our own has only made it heavier. Ours have everything they need. Warm beds, clean water, an education they're not afraid to attend. Girls their age across South Africa are missing school every month, using rags or newspaper, learning shame before they learn dignity.
We want our girls to grow up seeing that need. We want the people around us here in America to see it too. We want everyone to stop taking for granted what so much of the world doesn't have. We want our daughters to know that being blessed isn't the end of a story. It's the start of one.
Then Proverbs 31 stopped us. A woman who provides. Who opens her hands to the poor. Who is clothed with strength and dignity. We read it again and saw what we were being asked to do. Clothe other women in that same strength and dignity. Literally. That's where The Clothed Project comes from.
Would you walk with us?
Four commitments. Each begins with She is… — because that's where everything we do starts.
Every woman is treated as a daughter of God, draped in strength and dignity.
No woman is a number. Every recipient is seen, prayed for, named where appropriate.
We give only what we'd give our own daughters. Quality product, quality education.
Reusable products that last years. Education that travels with her. Long-term over one-time.
